Quality You Can Trace: Inside Kalpesh Corporation's Certifications and Quality Systems

When you buy psyllium husk, seeds, or spices , you are not just buying a product — you are buying confidence that what is on the label is what is in the bag, batch after batch. At Kalpesh Corporation, that confidence is built on a layered framework of international certifications and a quality culture that has grown over three generations of work in Unjha, North Gujarat.

Here is a closer look at what stands behind every consignment we ship.

A foundation built for two demanding worlds

Few suppliers operate across both the food and pharmaceutical sectors, because each comes with its own rulebook. We have chosen to meet both. Our facilities are structured to serve food customers who need clean-label, traceable ingredients and pharmaceutical customers who need active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) grade material that withstands regulatory scrutiny.

That dual focus shapes everything — from how we map our warehouse racks to how we document a single batch release.

Our certifications, and what they mean for you

Certifications are easy to list and harder to live up to. Each of ours represents an independent body verifying a specific promise:

GMPGood Manufacturing Practice - the benchmark for pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing. It governs how we produce, test, and release psyllium, with full documentation behind every step.

ICH Q7 — the international guideline for GMP ingredients, ensuring our processes meet globally harmonised expectations.

BRCGS— internationally recognized food safety management certification, confirming that hazards are identified and controlled across the whole process, from intake to dispatch.

GACP — Good Agricultural and Collection Practices, which extends quality thinking back to the farm and the way raw material is grown and gathered.

Government of India Recognized Three Star Export House — official recognition of our standing and reliability as an exporter.

For organic buyers, our work also extends to NOP/NPOP and EU organic certification and APEDA TraceNet farmer verification, supporting valid organic Transaction Certificates for export.

Quality is a system, not a stamp

A certificate on the wall means little without the daily discipline behind it. Our quality system is designed so that compliance is the natural result of how we work, not an afterthought.

We maintain a unified document framework that integrates EU-GMP, ICH Q7, food safety standards, and more into a single, coherent structure — so requirements never fall through the cracks between "food rules" and "pharma rules." Physical material is mapped, batches are tracked, and every critical role in the facility has clearly documented duties and responsibilities.

On the testing side, finished material is checked against the specifications our customers and their markets require — including limits for heavy metals such as lead, microbiological safety, pesticide residues, and processing-related contaminants. Where international markets differ in how they define and measure fibre or contaminants, we account for those differences rather than assuming one standard fits all.

Traceability from farm to container

Psyllium begins in the fields, and our quality story begins there too. Through GACP practices and farmer verification, we maintain a line of sight from the growing stage through processing, packing, and the moment a sealed container leaves our facility. That traceability is what allows us to stand behind a claim — and to investigate quickly and honestly if a question ever arises.

It is also why our certifications work together rather than in isolation. Agricultural practice, food safety, and GMP form a continuous chain, not three separate checkboxes.

Why this matters to our customers

For a food manufacturer, our certifications mean a supplier who can pass your audits and support your own compliance. For a pharmaceutical buyer, they mean documentation and process control that hold up under regulatory inspection. For a distributor or importer, they mean fewer surprises at customs and on the testing bench. And for everyone, they mean a partner who treats quality as a long-term relationship rather than a one-time transaction.

Three generations in, that is the reputation we have worked to earn — and the standard we intend to keep.
